Margaux Mathieu is a partner at DAEM, where she founded the criminal defence and litigation department.
She practises in all areas of criminal law (general criminal law, business criminal law) and has recognised expertise in labour law and litigation, as well as sports law and litigation.
She trained with renowned criminal lawyers, Éric DUPOND-MORETTI and then Hervé TEMIME, gaining invaluable experience in the most complex cases involving high media exposure or high technical and financial stakes.
She regularly publishes in specialist criminal law journals and is a lecturer in the Master 2 in Financial and Organised Crime at the University of Aix-Marseille. She is also a trainer for journalists (ESJ Lille, France Télévisions), particularly on the issue of media coverage of criminal cases.
Margaux collaborates with foreign colleagues on cross-border criminal cases, particularly in Italian, which she speaks fluently.
She is graduated with a degree in private law and criminal sciences (Masters I and II from the Université Paris X Nanterre and the Università Cattolica in Milan) and also studied at the London School of Economics (LSE). She specialised in criminology in the course of her studies.
